How is Chronic lack of Sleep Like Office Cleaning?

Chronic Lack of Sleep  Leads to Brain Damage

Did you know that getting sleep from 10-12 PM is the best restorative sleep we can get?
I didn't. Most nights  I don't get to sleep till 1 or 2 Am.
I found this article and it will change the way I get my sleep from now  on.

A  recent study  from University of Pennsylvania to has shown disturbing evidence that chronic sleep loss causes irreversible physical damage to and loss of brain cells.
Missing out on sleep for consecutive nights may do more than make you pour a larger coffee—it may lead to irreversible damage of brain cells.

Doctors are recommending that we get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep every night.
Napping and trying to make up the hours on the weekend just doesn't work because the brain cells are all ready destroyed."In general, we've always assumed full recovery of cognition following short-and long-term sleep loss,
One doctor explains it in a very simple way.
He used the example of an office building.
At night  all the office workers go home  and the cleaning crew comes in to cleans the offices and the building to get it ready for work the next day.
Our bodies and brains do the same thing.
At night when we're sleeping the cleaning crew (cells) comes in repairs/cleans the damaged cells, dumps the free radicals ,sets everything in order for the work for the next day.
However,if the cleaning crew only has a few short hours to work in they can't get all the housekeeping chores done right. It'll be a slip shoddy job.

The discovery can lead to creating treatments for boosting SirT3 production and keep brain cells safe.
Not only will sleep protect the brain cells but let's not forget that it will help the rest of the body to slow the aging process.
