Did the Old Witch Not Get Enough Sleep?

This week I've been pondering about the topic of sleep.
My musing led me to discover how the lack of sleep can affect us on some many levels.
Most of us encounter lack of sleep at some time or another for a variety of reason but what really happens to us when we get the right sleep.
I'm not referring to the occasional night of sleeplessness but the chronic burning the candle at both ends.
My question how does it affect our aging process?
I'm sitting here at the computer and I'm reminded of the fables of old about the witch and the beautiful princesses.
I wonder if those cantankerous old witches were so scared and worried over everything they lost sleep over it and hence they became wrinkled and dried up looking.
Did they lose their vitality due to lack of sleep? I would say so.
See if you might come to the same conclusion.

There are amazing reasons why we need sleep.
Not enough sleep worsens existing skin conditions
Not enough sleep detracts from your skin's natural beauty
Not enough sleep makes immune-related skin problems worse
Not enough sleep results in less beauty
Not enough sleep accelerates the aging process
Not enough sleep contributes to weight gain

Sleep Your Way to Better Skin and Hair
There are set times when our body clock dictates that various processes take place in hair and skin.

What Happens While You Sleep

From 8pm to 11pm is the time for hydration and stimulation,
While 11pm to 3am is the time for nutrition and regeneration,
From 3am to 5am is the time for resting.'
Of course, very few adults are in bed at 8pm and, as the hormone that triggers sleep - melatonin - peaks at around 11pm, this is the time we should naturally get tired.
Seven or eight hours of sleep are ideal for most of us. More than that can mean we wake up looking puffy and feeling sluggish.
Chronic lack of sleep, or poor-quality sleep, has an incredibly negative effect on the way we feel - and on the way we look.
Cellular renewal of our skin is fastest at night, and this is why we are told night-creams can work wonders.

But the fact is, nothing will help our looks if we don't get the quality of sleep we need.
While sleeping, levels of adrenaline and corticosteroids drop and the body starts to produce growth hormone.
This is when the repair and growth processes kick in.

The following may help:
Go to bed at a regular time.
Set the alarm for the same time each day - even weekends - to develop a regular sleep-wake rhythm.
Make sure the bedroom is dark.
Start and each day with great skin care products as well.

Is the Search of the Elusive Fountain of Youth Beyond our Reach?

                                 Youth Span vs Life Span
Do you believe your aging destiny is inherited?
Do you feel helpless about aging as if there is nothing you can do about it?
Do you sometimes  wonder why some people look and feel younger then their actual age while others quite the opposite is true?
Do you think your healthy?
If any of these questions ring true for you than you are on the quest of the elusive fountain of youth?

The search for the elusive fountain of youth may not be that mysterious.
In fact it may be just right under our noses. Joseph Chang PHD wrote his book "The Aging Myth" to unlock the mysteries of aging.
He and his colleagues have researched  what controls our aging process and together  have been able to identify and target to reset the aging-related genes.
This compelling evidence will encourage us to put the fear of the ravages of aging aside and live a more youthful life even though our birth certificate tells us different.

I  to was on such a quest and then his book came into to  my life.

You know what they( who ever they are) "When the pupil is ready the teacher appears"
I highly recommend to you if you are on this quest to order and read this book "The Aging Myth"

The reason why I was on this quest was simply because one day I looked in the mirror and another face and body was looking back at me and I didn't know who it was.
I think most of us over the age of fifty has that same reaction but what can we do it about it?
In the past nothing  you just got freaking old end of story.
I dreaded the thought of looking and feeling  like the old people.I've seen all my life.
Complaining of the aches and pains that old people have.
Looking like the dried up apple faces
Dragging our butts around in slow mo.
I didn't want any part of that. Do you?
I wanted to fight the ravages of aging but I didn't have any weapons except for exercising and eating healthy foods. Those were good but not enough
I also didn't want to put a scalpel  to my face or needles or use products that would just plump up the skin  so what's a woman to do?
Fortunately, I found the right products for me that target the source of aging.
Not just for the external parts of me but for my internal cellular productions parts the DNA.
Bottom line for me is  that I know we all will get older but why not participate in healthy aging and I want you to consider all the aspects of healthy aging for yourself.
In the future join me on this quest as I will get into the various aspects of healthy aging including eating well, exercising, nutritional supplements, skin care, just having fun with life.

2 Distinct Causes of Aging Skin?

There are 2 distinct causes of the aging skin and body and at some time or another we all feel helpless about those effects of aging. We think that we can't do anything about it but that myth is changing rapidly. Most of look forward not only to living longer but,  we want to have a full life with vim and vigor and not the debilitating process our parent or grandparents have experienced.
True, we can't stop the progression of aging but,  it does beat the alternative .
We look at the visible outward signs of aging and think those are the causes.
No, not true, there are only 2 distinct cause of aging everything is the end result of the natural aging process,
In order for you to look and feel younger we need to start at the beginning and exam briefly the actual distinct cases for aging. When we begin to understand the underlying cause we can then begin to explore different reactions to them. Just doing one thing doesn't  really work such as, applying a cream that promises to reduce wrinkles, or getting needles jabbed in the face to get of  rid those wrinkles in an instant . It may help temporarily but we have to attack the underlying cause to prevent or as in some cases a reverse. Having surgery or fillers are not only expensive but they don't last forever either. They do have to be repeated and what is the long term effects of all that anyway? Does anyone really know?
It can be done with the knowledge of science that is now available. There's cutting edge research being explore in the field of gene expression science that decodes the aging process. Dr.Chang, who authored the book, "The Aging Myth", explains in great detail "how he and others collaborated to discover and identify the aging process. With this knowledge they can now target and reset the aging related genes to a more youthful state."

Basic & Advanced Formula for Beautiful Skin

If you’re like everybody else, you want healthy, great-looking skin—no matter what age you are.
Skin that is clear, smooth, and radiant proclaims good health and lends tremendous confidence to how you feel about your appearance.
By following some fundamental rules and by giving your skin everything it needs to function at its peak,
you have the formula for younger, healthier, smoother skin at any age.
At every age our skin has different needs.
Even as a child the needs and care are very simple but,
yet we should start teaching our children the fundamentals of proper care.
For them it’s cleanse and light moisturizing.
The next faze is for our teenagers.
This article will cover the general needs first for all ages and in future articles we’ll cover
the specific needs for every stage and special targeted needs.

Basic Needs
Your skin has up to 10 essential needs for optimal health and beauty
These needs can be divided into two categories: basic and advanced needs.
Your skin’s basic needs are the minimum, daily needs or regimen steps all skin types require.
Advanced needs are those that address specific concerns of your skin and that can be met by
incorporating additional regimen steps as needed.
Starting in our late 20s, our advanced needs steadily increase.
Together, basic and advanced needs form the essential needs of the skin.

Although the skin has 10 essential needs to maintain optimal form,
meeting the basic, daily needs with four regimen steps creates the foundation of daily skin care.
The four essential steps are cleanse, tone, protect, and hydrate.
A look at each step individually will help to clarify how it specifically addresses the essential needs of your skin.

Advanced Needs
In addition to the basic daily needs, your skin also has advanced needs.
When specific skin concerns such as discoloration, acne, free radical damage,
and aging exist, addressing these concerns is critical for skin health and beauty.
Incorporating regimen steps to target the skin’s advanced needs gives your skin the needed advantage of advanced skin care.
